The show, Jerry N. Uelsmann and Maggie Taylor: Surreal Reality, opens with a reception on January 29 at the Fine Art Gallery, State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota. The show will run until February 25.

The Art Resource Trust of the Polk Museum of Art in Lakeland, Florida, honored Jerry with a lifetime achievement award in a ceremony on January 14 at the Polk Museum. See the Ledger’s article for more details.

Jerry will be giving a lecture on Thursday, Oct. 22, at 7 p.m., at the Southeast Museum of Photography in Daytona Beach, Florida. A book signing and reception will follow. See the announcement for more information. The lecture is presented by the Southeast Center for Photographic Studies.

Jerry and Maggie’s exhibition of new photographs and digital prints open August 6 at the Telluride Gallery of Fine Art from 5:30-7:30 pm at the gallery. The show will be on view until September 6. Telluride Inside … and Out has a podcast of Jerry discussing a photograph from the show.

ModernBook announced its upcoming publication, The Mind’s Eye: Photographs by Jerry Uelsmann, due out in 2010. Jerry’s newest exhibition “Outside In: The Transformative Vision of Jerry Uelsmann” opened at the Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts in Kaohsiung, Taiwan on May 15. The show runs through June 7.

Jerry was included in the book 501 Great Artists edited by Stephen Farthing (Barron’s).

Jerry and Maggie’s joint show “Just Suppose” at the the Trinity University Gallery in the Ruth Taylor Fine Arts Center was just reviewed by the San Antonio Express-News. “Just Suppose” will be on view through April 4.

Jerry’s retrospective, Imaginary Space, which ran from May 30 to July 15, 2007 at the Beijing World Art Museum in China opened at the Taipei Fine Arts Museum in Taiwan. Check out some of the pictures of the opening!
